This April, just in time for the school holidays, the Japan Foundation Sydney is proud to present our latest exhibition, Japan: Kingdom of Characters. The exhibition will run from 8 April through to 28 May at the Japan Foundation Gallery, taking visitors through Japan’s most popular characters that have triggered worldwide crazes from 1950s to 2000s.

Dr Masahiro Kohara, Consul-General of Japan in Sydney gave 44 Australian undergraduate students a warm farewell at Sydney’s Grace Hotel last night, on the eve of their departure for a two week study tour of Japan as part of the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) Programme.
